When i think back to my preliminary task, i realise that i have learnt so much over these weeks. My preliminary task was quite average, and looked as if it could have been done on a regular editing programme. But my final pieces look really good. I have had to use so many tools. I used the magic wand tool to cut around pictures to get rid of the background and make them stand out. I have also used the layers tool. Especially on my feature article. Every bit of text is on a seperate layer. I also ended up adding effects to some of the text on their individual layers. Like giving them shadow or glow. I used the layer so that i could easily move around different parts of the text without moving other parts i don't want to move. In the preliminary task i really didn't use any of the tools to there full effect. This was because i didn't understand how they worked properly. However, after time i got to grips with them and used near enough all of them to come up with my final pieces.
