After completing my questionnaire I discovered that very few people read the College Magazine. 95% said no so I now know that the College Magazine is not reaching its target audience.
I asked people what they would like to see in a College Magazine and they said things along the lines of Xbox, sport, jobs, fashion, information about the college and news and events. I also discovered that 70% of the people I asked would be willing to pay 50p for the magazine. Then I went on to ask people what would encourage them to read the magazine and they said that it would have to be bright and colourful. They also thought that if it was free they would be encouraged to read it, and also if it had a free give away. 90% of people would like to see a large variety of topics in the magazine, and would not like it if it was all about college. The students would also like information about the subjects that can be taken in the college; they thought that would be useful.65% thought so. We thought that a subscription to the magazine would be a good idea but 80% of students said no so it obviously isn’t. People would like the magazine to be monthly and would also like a ‘what’s going on guide’ to see any local events coming up.
So after looking at what people around the college would like, I have a good idea on how to make a good College Magazine, which will meet the audiences demands.
